Intisar Ahmed
Professional Development Chair
Intisar is a Project Geotechnical Engineer at GeoEngineers based out of Seattle. Intisar’s role involves project management and geotechnical design for development, public works, and dams projects. He completed his BASc in Geological Engineering from the University of British Columbia and his MS in Civil and Environmental (GeoSystems) engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Before moving to Seattle, Intisar practiced in Vancouver BC for about five years.
Intisar started volunteering with ASCE Seattle YMF in 2024 as a Professional Development Chair. In addition to YMF, Intisar is heavily involved with the ASCE’s Geo-Institute as a Dinner Meeting Chair for the Seattle Section and the Chair for the national Younger Members Committee. Outside of ASCE, Intisar is engaged with the Geoprofessional Business Association and the US Society on Dams.
Intisar has lived in Bangladesh, New Zealand, and Canada prior to the US. In his free time, he enjoys travel, cooking, Carolina Hurricanes hockey, and Juventus FC football.
